Q: Does my insurance cover the visit?
A: In most cases your insurance will cover the visit and you will be
responsible for only your co-pay or deductible. You should check with
your insurance provider to see if chiropractic care is covered, or
we will be glad to check for you.
Q: How many visits will it take to feel
better?
A: Many patients show significant improvement after one or two
visits; however we will be better able to determine how
much time it will take after the initial exam. Many variables are
involved in determining how long treatment will last and how many
office visits will be involved. It is our goal to release patients
from treatment as soon as possible, the average being about 8 - 12
visits.
Q: How long does each visit take?
A: The first visit will take 60 to 90 minutes and is the longest
visit because of the initial
consultation and exam. Subsequent visits typically last 30 minutes.
Q: Will the treatment hurt?
A: The chiropractic adjustment typically does not hurt. We use many
different modalities to ensure the patient is comfortable and
relaxed during the visit.
Q: Do I need referral from my primary
care physician?
A: In the majority of cases the patient does not need a referral.
Q: Can you treat children?
A: Our bodies do not always develop evenly and "growing pains" often
result. Chiropractic care is safe and can help ease the discomfort
of developing bodies.
Q: Can you treat the elderly?
A: People of all ages can benefit greatly from chiropractic care.
Many of the aches and pains of aging can be addressed by
chiropractic care.
Q: Can you treat expectant mothers?
A:Chiropractic care for expectant mothers is particularly valuable
because it can help the expectant mother adjust to the additional
stresses put on her body when carrying her child. We have special
pelvic drop pieces on our chiropractic tables and pregnancy pillows
available to make our expectant mothers more comfortable.
